Hey guys,
I've got a 1998 TJ Wrangler and since I've owned this Jeep (almost a year) I've had a persistent misfire code. It started as 1,2 and 6 cylinders, then just 1 and 2, now after messing with it for a while I'm down to just a cylinder 2 mis. I've got new OE replacement Champion plugs in her, new wires, the distributor cap and rotor have been changed, and I just put a new negative battery cable end on as the previous one was rotted and not making good connection. The CEL has been on for the past week or so since I did the plugs but when I fueled up last night it was miraculously off. I drove all the way in to work this morning and it stayed off but now it's cooling down outside and I'll try again at lunch. Any thoughts? Maybe an evap issue? Thanks!
