I have an xj it was squealing bad when I cranked it. Looked under the hood my belt snapped. My mechanic put a new belt on and it was still squealing bad looked further into it and my ac compressed froze and my water pump went out. I put a new water pump on it and we are trying to get a belt that bypasses the ac and found on but now that I have to new water pump in it it's cranking like a champ but by belt it still squealing. Everything I've read is leading to a bad pulley. Or will it squeal until I can get a compressor ?
