Tow Bar Base Plate Question

I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee Laraedo. I want to use a regular Harbor Freight 5000 pound basic tow bar to flat tow it. I don't want to spend $400 on a Blue Ox or Towmaster Base plate kit. Is there anything else I could attach to the frame rails that's not as expensive.
