Im still 50/50 on this but figured I should throw it out there and see if anyone is interested. Only reason im selling is because I have a few other super expensive hobbies that could use some attention...
1952 M100 Amphibious 1/4 Ton Trailer: Amateur Restoration - bear in mind its 64 years old, it still has dents and dings, wavy floors (solid) and shows its age. Was solid as a rock before restoration. Never the less, its all original steel. No patch work, no replacement metal. No permanent modifications were made to it. Brought back as close to milspec condition as possible. I have some spare parts that go with it as well as 2 new inner tubes. 2" Pintle hitch is included. ** The color is Massey Ferguson grey - which is similar to what Manley ORV uses for their trailers. Its a neutral color that would look great with almost any color jeep.**
Here's what was done:
Took it apart
Chemically/mechanically stripped the paint. Media blasted everything
Sourced missing or aged parts with NOS and Reproduction
$300 of new stainless and grade 8 hardware
Chassis saver and Monstalined "Pyroclastic" bed
Primed and painted
New Firestone military tires
Gabriel Shocks
Modern 4 pin Wiring
Pulls flawlessly down the road - straight and smooth.
The top: is a DIY wood top that I monstalined "Pyroclastic". Built just as a hold over till I had a metal top made - but it should still last you a lifetime. Made from 3/4" plywood, New Zealand quality knot free pine. Secures to the trailer using 1940s GPW footman loops and 550cord to the tarp hooks. on the side of the trailer. Back 1' of the top is hinged so you can still gain access to the inside of the trailer. Main idea was to not modify the trailer in any way, but still be able to run a RTT. Its also very light weight and would work well for attaching Kayaks or bikes to the top too.
ARB Simpson III Tent: is included with the sale price. Used 4-5 times and in like new condition. The tent itself is flawless - zippers all work - still smells new. Grey tent cover has some scuffs and scrapes from tree branches but no holes. Everything works 100%.
$2700 Takes all - Pick up only. Viroqua WI 54665. You will come out and inspect it, see it in person and take it home if you want it. I will not haggle with you - my price is firm and very fair. The Lunette Eye alone was $350!
