I am a dealer and I buy and sell cars daily. I rarely keep anything as I am not in the business to collect. I am in the business to sell.
I ran across this 1999 Cherokee Sport at the auction about a month or so ago. It's an insurance salvage auction I frequent a lot.
From the pictures this thing looked like it was rocked insanely hard. After further inspection it was hit high and there was zero structural damage.
I snagged it for a song and dance.
it has 68,000 miles on it, zero rust. which is unheard of around these parts.
Just got it back together this weekend. Here is some pictures.
After I stripped it down you can see there wasn't any damage.
I went to the local pick and pull, their XJ selection was pretty well picked over. I asked and to my surprise they had a few virgin XJ's out back. They pulled two forward for me to snag some parts from.
This white one donated it's fenders, radiator, condensor, power steering pump and fans.
This blue one donated air bags, hood bumper and a decent set of wheels with brand new yokohama all terrains.
My buddy powdercoated the wheels for me.
new body parts installed.
Paint, we fixed some door dings while we were at it.
Got the wheels installed and started putting her back together.
Finished product.
My plan for this is to go through the suspension. Add a 2" lift to make the wheel/tire combo fit a little better. Installed a limited slip. Some floor liners and window tint.
Basic trail rig and dune Jeep.
