Let me start out this thread by saying that this is my first car. My grandpa gave me his 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for my 16th birthday. It has a little over 160,000 miles, and I use it to get back and forth with school and work (with a little play mixed in). I like to camp and play around a lot, so I would like to use the money I make this summer to modify my Jeep a tad. Like I said, this is my first car, and I know fairly little about working on cars. What I would LIKE to do, is install a lift on it (between 3.5 and 6.5", depending on your opinions), put some larger tires on some nicer rims (maybe between 30 and 34"), Mount new front-rear bumpers, and a roof rack to hold my spare tire (one of the upgraded ones). The greatest extent to which I have modified the Jeep so far is to put a removable bed in the back for when I go camping. If any of you could take the time to help me with this project (assisting me in deciding on lift sizes, tire specs, etc), I would be extremely grateful. I won't start work until the end of school around May 25, so this will be a long and arduous project. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated, but there's no rush! Thanks!
PS. I would post pictures, but I don't know how (another subject of direction!)
