Hey Guys,
I thought I would try to tackle this job next on my project. The YJ tub I got was great minus the cut out pieces of the front tub mounts. The pictures are not of my jeep, but I have drawn in what mine look like.
I need some help with a couple of things....
1. Can someone provide these 3 measurements for me, so I can get close to where the nut should be?
2. I have a few ideas to replace these but the main thing is I don't have a lot of tools, but do have some tools for minimal metal work.... 1) Weld a piece of steel to fill the hole, mount tub on frame loosely with other mounts, and then mark where the front bolts hit, drill large hole and put large washer on the backside and hold nut with wrench will tightening. 2) Go to junkyard and see if they have any nut plates (not expesnive) that I can use and weld those to a piece of steel onto the tub. 3) Or, if anyone on here makes/has made these or has some in decent shape laying around, will you PM me with a price...?
Ideas?
