I think this is technical, but I could be wrong.
So I changed my valve cover gasket the other day from it leaking light since I bought it. While I was in there I noticed the engine has a lot of gunk and grim all over the engine. Not sure if this is from the valve cover leak or if there are multiple small leaks all over the engine.
I have seen the GUNK engine degreaser/protector at autozone, my whole concern is does this stuff actually work and is it safe for my engine.
The way your supposed to use it is spray the chemical all over the engine then wash it off softly with water and then spray their protector on it and wipe it off.
I would really like to know if anybody else has tried this product or something similar. Or if anyone has a better solution to how to clean your engine decently without taking anything off and hand cleaning every inch.
