I have a rubbing/grinding noise coming from my rear driver side wheel. It only happens when I turn left. There are no rub marks on the fenders or wheel wells from the tires. Everything looks alright. The u-joint is loose but nothing crazy probably could get another 25k out of it. I've done some reading through the forum and have seen the pinion gear or axle gear.
I just purchased the jeep a few weeks ago and it didn't make the noise. It's only happened since I started driving it daily. The PO didn't use it like that.
Im guessing first course of action would be to rip of the TC and differential case to see if any fluids are horrible. Brake drums too.
Does this seem correct to you guys? Does this make sense even though its only when turning left?
Thanks in advance for the info!
