Have an early model 97 tj se that has about 130k on her. I got a check engine light a few weeks ago saying the tps was toast so I tried to replace it. When I went to auto zone the Tps they have me for the 97 was nothing close to what I pulled from my jeep. I managed to track one down that was close and "would do the job" that was for the 95 yj. It fit into the plug fine but the problem wasn't resolved. I decided to take the part number off the Tps that was in the jeep and put it into a mopar parts site to get one that is EXACTLY what my jeep needs. To make it more of a cluster f**k the part number matched to a 93 jeep Cherokee. Needless to say my brain hurts from trying to figure this out. Any advice?
