It's been decided as soon as I saw Tom's lift that I'm getting it (if the savings account ever gets high enough), but my further plan now is his front struts wiht JBA 4" rear springs and bilstein 5125 rear shocks (thanks ATH for helping me find those). But after reading this description of Tom's front strut lift on the JBA page I feel a little bit confused:
Note: the weight of each Liberty is different depending on the accessory on the Jeep. You may need to test different clevis spacers to get the ride height you want on the front struts. Ride height over 3.5" will need cut down CV axles!! (CVs not included in kit)..
Does the JBA 4" lift come with cut down CVs? Because I don't see that in the description. Also, if I decided to put enough clevis/plate spacer in the front to get 4", how does one cut a CV axle? In my head thinkin about cutting would mean a shorter axle and an even sharper angle on the joints...right?
