I know this subject has been beat to death, and any mention of a delete of the canister will get..well, deleted. But I had an idea..
Instead of a delete, or some voodoo witchcraft to move the entire assembly somewhere else (to make room for recessed lights)... what about using a charcoal canister from another vehicle? Something smaller perhaps. Since the charcoal canister is there to absorb fuel vapors, wouldn't one with a smaller footprint work? And maybe with the smaller footprint, we could move inside the frame rails, or make room for recessed lights...
I've looked around at canisters from other vehicles, but without physically having one, I can't get the measurements...
