The weather is starting to break and I am finally going to get an opportunity to tow my newly built Rubicon behind my 2012 WJ (Overland, V8 HEMI, auto-leveling, Class 4 hitch, etc.)
I am renting a U-Haul trailer on the cheap from a friend of a friend type deal and I wonder if anyone has experience with loading this trailer with a TJ? Because of the lack of D-Ring mounting locations on the trailer and 35" tires, I plan to use heavy duty straps and wrap the axles with "x-style" mounting and wheel chalks. concerns about brake lines? With this being said, does anyone have any experience/tips with this set up? Put WJ in park while loading? Keep TJ in gear while towing? transfer case, etc.?
I will only be towing @ 3 hour trip.. No hills/mountains. Thanks!
