I posted this over at dodgeforum but those guys dont seem too interested.
Any wk2 owners experiencing poor or abnormal tire wear?
2013 Dodge Durango Hemi Crew. 24k miles. I just recently put my Cooper Weathermaster WSC tires back on for winter. All of a sudden over the last few weeks, these tires are really loud! They have 6100 miles on them.
5000 miles last winter and 1100 this season so far.
Took it to the tire guy I purchased from. 1 minute in he found the inner tread blocks on the right front tire were "cupped"or "scalloped" as he described it. That tire is still chalk marked RR from when the tires came off last spring. So im not sure if it needs the front aligned or the rear. I'm not sure if the poor wear happened recently on the front or last season on the rear.
Basically he told me it needs a 4 wheel alignment. Dodge warranty book says they only do alignments up to 12,000 miles. I have an appointment at an indy shop to do a 4wheel alignment.
Since the tires are directional should I move that poorly worn tire to the left side front or rear to help the tire wear even out?
We havent hit anything or done any towing at all. The michelin latitude tours were not abnormally worn when i took them off, but it would be hard to tell on those.
Steers straight and drives great otherwise.
Any ideas? Thanks Jeepforum
