Hey guys! Thought I would come to the forum with this one.
My 4.7 has a tick of some sort at startup (not a knock, just a tick for now) it doesn't seem to get louder when the engine is under load, just pretty constant. But after it's up to temp, it pretty much goes away or atleast I can't barely hear it. Anyone have any experience with this? I've had both manifold gaskets replaced and bots along with them in the past 12000 miles so I'm leaning away from that. And as for the exhaust purge valve, it doesn't seem to be coming from that area at all. 151k on her and burns no oil. It just kind of bugs me.
