Rubber weatherstrip under front of hood

I was wiping down door jams and under the hood this afternoon after a wash and while I had the hood raised, I noticed there is a rubber weather strip that runs just under the front of the hood on the driver's side - but nothing on the passenger side. Seems odd. Can anyone confirm if you have it on both sides? I'll try and take a pic when lighting is better.
