I've a 4.7 '00 with 210.000 km
Last saturday, on morning, after the engine was on, i feel for the first time I had the transmission slipping. After a short R I put on D and I had to wait for starting. And starting was strong. After the slipping was regular and frequent, but not always.
During higway fast driving it seemed to slip cyclically.
I found oil level around "cold" signal.
I refilled first about 400 ml of new oil. It seems ok, but after 200 km it was slipping again for other 200 km.
I stopped the car for fill gasoline and I refilled again another 400 ml (it was difficult without a funnel ...).
After it seems ok for other 400 km, excepted for 10 minutes at half of continue driving.
The day after I had a little ride in my city, I drived fast, but it was all ok.
The same again.
Now the car is for repairing.
The transmission oil is very clean, but the mechanic suggest me to rebuild a new (reconditioned) transmission.
I'm not sure ...
He told about o-ring dried ... and pressure failure of torque converter ...
The problem is that italian car repairs knows only europea automatic trasmission which have a lot of structural defects ...
What I can do?
Only try to change and refil oil and filters?
