so about 4 months ago, my girlfriend bought an 05 wk limited hemi. 176000 on body, jasper engine with 46000 on it. got a deal, 5000$. brought it home, all was great for about a month. she called me one day and said it was missing and barely got it home. i got home, started it up and sure enough, missing really bad, pouring raw fuel and white smoke out the exhaust, reeked like gas. so i pull the DTCs on it, had a random misfire, and cylinder #1 injector circuit shorted. replaced the coil, no dice. replaced the injector, no dice. replaced the plugs, they were fouled, but no dice. ended up finding that the ECM was bad, had to send it out and have it rebuilt, flashed, that whole deal. waited for 3 weeks, got a call from the shop and was told they went it to the wrong address, would be another 2 weeks. got it home, plugged it in, jeep would start and die immediately. come to find out that they flashed the wrong vin number to the ECM. had to send it back out again, and wait another 2 weeks. so i get this one home, plug it in, start the jeep, all is well. cleared the previous codes and she ran perfectly fine for 2 days. sitting at a stop light, started missing again and stalled. wouldnt start until i floored the gas. drove it around and smelled a little gas, but it ran perfectly fine going down the road, and would only start missing when sitting still idling. then, the radio display, tachometer, and speedo started randomly cutting in and out, at different times from each other. now i have code 1697: SMI mileage not stored. and 0201: injector #1 circuit short. went out today and cleaned the ground connections, checked plugs, started it up and now its missing worse, and i have code p0113; intake air temp circuit high input. My girlfriend and i are expecting our first child in 3 weeks, it is her only vehicle other than her camaro which cannot come out of storage until summer. i am working as many hours as i can and i am at my wits end with this thing. we cannot afford to take it to the dealer or another shop. if anyone can give me any advice, i would greatly appreciate it. thank you very much for reading this and taking your time to reply.
