Ok. I've been looking around and seems all giving same answer. Which isn't much help.
Engine light on the 2000 cherokee came on.
Hooking up my trusty scanner. It reads and comes back no codes. Huh?
It's not a global. Is specific scanner. I use it a lot at work without issue. I even hooked it to my car that I know has an evap code and it read that fine. So I know it's not the scanner.
Anyone any idea? Wondering if it's false warning and issue is in wiring for the light.
I sent a clear code to the computer and it confirmed it was successful. But light didn't even attempt to go out.
I've not taken the dash apart yet, not sure if maybe circuit track bad or maybe really is problem but no code? This is first time seen light since got jeep, so no code history to go by.
Have the 99 jeep I might rob the dash from but thought I'd throw it out here first. I know it's been asked before but everyone just said bad scanner which I know isn't the case.
