Hi, newbie here to forum and (maybe) Jeep family. Great site! :cheers2:
Need to hear and learn from owners such as yourself. My current ride is starting to expire (2007 Pontiac GP 3.8L) and looking to get something to own for the next 5 plus years. I live in central Alberta Canada. Winters are long, cold, and dark. The look and safety features of the GC Overland really appeal to me. I don't really need a V8 but would prefer it. Fuel here is about 18% cheaper than the rest of the nation and that helps.
Im just curious to know how your ownership has been like for 14/15 models, in particular:
1. How is real life gas mileage? Right now i'm averaging 24.5 mpg combined and expect the 5.7 to be 19 mpg combined (about 60% highway). Is that a reasonable assumption?
2. Im also interested in the lift suspension and how it works in the snow (this will be mostly on road use and NO plans to tow a trailer)?
3. Hows the accident avoidance camera feature and swivel headlamps? I also do a bit of country road driving and its dark and roads are not perfectly paved/bumpy.
4. Other suggestions/comments/regrets you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely.
