98 Headlight Help

My friend has a 98 Wrangler and wants to put HID's in it after he saw mine. I own an 03 Grand Cherokee and would be able to help him but I don't really know much about TJ's. Ive heard that you have to buy new lenses to fit the HID bulbs but again Im not sure so can anyone help me help him. What all does he need to buy to make his stock headlights hold HID's and are there complete kits anywhere because the brand I bought doesnt sell them for 98 TJ's?
