My 94 YJ front right fender got banged up and I found a reasonable deal on a steel replacement. It's primed in black but not close enough to match the factory black so I want to paint it.
It's just a loose fender at this point so I figure this is a good opportunity to give painting it myself a shot. I have a couple cheap guns to try it with. I'm not stressing about making it perfect and screwing it up entirely isn't a big deal.
Never bought auto paint before so I'm looking for advice on the best deal on a quart of black paint (best match to the 94 YJ factory black would be gloss, right?). Prices on the internet are all over the place. I don't want the worst crap there is but certainly don't need something super expensive.
Also curious about a decent economical clearcoat (again doesn't need to be showroom perfect) would be appreciated.
I scanned the forum already but didn't really see threads as basic as this one.
