Hi everyone,
I'm trying to make a decision. My 95 2.5L YJ is getting a bit grindy when downshifting and the suspension is sagging pretty badly. I could install a new suspension (BDS 2.5in lift probably(~$800)), but I'm not 100% sure what's causing the grinding. If it's just a worn out clutch, it'll be ~800 installed. If the tranny needs a rebuild too, that's another ~$900 installed. I'm in BC, these are Canadian prices. I could install the suspension on my own, but I think the clutch and tranny rebuild are over my head.
So, do I want to put ~$3000 into this jeep, or see if I can maybe sell it and then put that money towards a TJ? In my area, it looks like YJs in good condition are going for ~$4000-5000. Early 2000's TJs are closer to $10000.
What do you all think?
