Didn't know this could happen on a Dana 35

So I went wheeling down at the Badlands in Attica, IN, going through some rocks and climbs and I get through them and notice some vibration when I was driving. Get out and take a look , both U bolts on the passenger side rear axle are broke and the pinion is pointing up to the sky instead of at the back of the T-case. The axle tube and spring perch on the driver side are in their correct place (U bolts are intact on that side) but the differential housing and axle tube on the passenger side and clocked about 10-15 degrees from where they should be. I've heard that when they built the dana 35 they press fit the tubes in the carrier and tac weld it in place. Has anyone ever twisted the axle tube in the carrier before? Can it be twisted and clocked back to its correct spot and just weld the living crap out of it?

Would of thought the shaft would of snapped (ya know something not too bad to fix) but of course not :brickwall
