Long time lurker - first post. I have a 2008 WK Limited with the 4.7 engine, 90k miles that I've owned for 5 months and 10k miles. I am getting a check engine light with U1403 and U1411 codes (implausible fuel level and flow). I searched the forum and it seems others have experienced this - but a follow-up post with a resolution has not been offered.
Other threads suggest the codes could be set by problem(s) with these items:
CAN B
CLUSTER MODULE
FRONT CONTROL MODULE (FCM)
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
The codes pop up just about anytime I start the car after it has been sitting in the sun - which would suggest to me that I have an electrical connection that becomes unstable when thermally exercised (maybe a cracked solder joint?). When the codes pop up I have no turn signals and the AC does not come on though the fan blows. The code reader shows stored codes and pending ones - so a reset can't be done. After driving the car for a few miles the turn signals start working and the AC kicks on - by that time I can reset the codes.
I replaced the PCM - which didn't fix it. What I'd like to do is find a diagnostic procedure rather than continue on a parts replacement regimen. The Service Manual that I found for the WK is dated 2005 which makes no reference to these codes - does anyone have a 2008+ service manual that can provide a diagnostic procedure for these codes and/or the CAN B, Cluster Module, FCM, and PCM?
Any other suggestions - or do I have to submit this to the dealer?
Thanks,
Art
