Hi everybody today I am replacing the u-joints on my dana 30 front axle. I pulled everything off including the hub and removed the axle shaft. There is this gear right behind the outer splines of the shaft and I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is, I don't know if its part of the hub or the axle shaft and is it possible to remove it from the shaft? The gear is also cracked and looks like it's a little bent near the crack. I hope this isn't going to be a big issue because I need to try to get this together as fast as possible. Thanks in advance!
