2000 WJ Laredo with 4.0

So, it won't start this morning and sounds like a dead battery. Sure enough, the multimeter reads 10.6V, so I took the battery to NAPA and they tested it and confirmed the battery had given up most of the ghost. It was 6 years old anyway, so I got a new one.

After installing the new battery, I started the Jeep and tested the output, with results as follows:

At idle no load: ~14.2
At idle with load: ~13.4-13.5
At ~1500 RPM with load: ~13.6 -13.7

My understanding is that with load it should be between 13.5 and 15 V. So, mine is right at the bottom edge of that range.

My question: Does this low reading (even though technically within spec) indicate a bad or almost bad alternator? Or am I good to go?

Will appreciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks,

AEP
