Front mounted hitch vs. winch plate, what would you do?

I need to get front recovery points and a winch mount sorted out. I currently have a nice bolt on steel bumper and like the clean look it has, so I don't want to just weld d rings on. I currently have a Warn M8000 mounted in a cradle for hitch mounting. I like the idea of the front mounted hitch as it will look clean and give me all the recovery point I need up front while allowing me to move the winch to the rear. The con is the clearance and approach angle loss I get from the lower sitting front hitch. I could also get the rough country winch mount and just go front mounted winch. Remember, I'm trying to do this cheap

What would you do?


My rig - 94 4.0 with 4 inch lift on 265 70 17's (31.6x10.4)
