Having some trouble with an aftermarket Alpine Head Unit I installed recently. I wired the front door & dash speakers directly from the new head unit so no problem there.
I wanted to keep the rear door speakers amplified so I hooked the rear speakers wires to the regular outputs on the new HU and left everything else the same. The rear doors speakers were cutting out/distorted when I turned up the volume. I thought it was because I was double amplifying the signal.... so I rewired the rear wires into the RCA low-level outputs of the new radio but now I can barely hear the rears.
Did the stock radio put out a "low" level or a "high" level signal to the rear amplified channels?

Any jeep infinity audio gurus here?
