After several engines and manual gearbox, I decided to to with a V8 5.2 from a 1994 grand cherokee with automatic transmission.
I bought a complete wrecked ZJ for the swap. Only the front was damaged, no way to repare it the "frame" is bent.
First of all i disconnect the aftermaket alarm, and the propane installation.
Just after I modified the wiring harness in order to mate it with the one of my CJ 7.
Not an easy task but very interested, to check everything seems ok, I started the engine with the wires from the harness without the key of the ZJ.
Removed the engine with the transmission, cleaned everything, replaced all the gasket and painted !
Ready for next step : soldering all the wiring harness !
