I just noticed a strange occurrence the last few days. I've been contemplating removing MDS from my truck ('11 GC V8), due to the shutter feeling I'm experiencing. As a test, I used the autostick feature (put the truck in 5th).
Although I still have the shudder sensation :brickwall, I noticed my MPG went up by 4-5 (approx 20-21 mpg) :confused:.
I thought MDS was supposed to save fuel or is mine defective? If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that in actuality MDS expends more gas due to shutting/re-opening the cylinders. Has anyone noticed this?

Strange! I'm gaining more MPG in "5" than normal "D". MDS defect??
