Rattle in engine

I know this is an ongoing question on here. I have a rattle at idle that is not as pronounced when engine rev'ed. I have replaced the timing chain and tensioners. Noise did not go away but seemed to be more pronunced. I have dropped the pan and found nothing. Very clean and very well taken care of. I have heard that it could be lifters and also heard that people have changed them only to have the problem re-appear. Is there any more information available that would be helpful? Thank you
