Safe to relocate airbag module for custom center console?

I want to build a custom console for my 94 ZJ, but the e-brake handle and the airbag module are right in the way of the box I want to put in. Can I safely move the module, say under the seat, or anywhere else for that matter?



Also, has anybody ever tried to swap in an e-brake PEDAL to replace the pull handle?



I just finished my NV3500 5spd manual transmission swap, and I want to free up space near the shifter.
