transfer case linkage adjustment

I have a 99 xj and the linkage wasn't working. I found that the bar that sits in the bracket that screws to the chassis was out of the bracket. I had to remove the bracket by unscrewing the screws in the floor pan, but I got it back together. Now when I shift it will only go into part time (I assume that is four low). I know I need to adjust it so I can use full time (four high?) and neutral. But for now I only have 2wd and part time 4wd. Any tips or links to a good guide? I am hoping it can be fixed with adjustment, but I would have thought I could shift into "full time" and neutral when the trundle bolt was loose and I was under the jeep, but I couldn't.
