suspension question!

new to the jeep world and have a bone stock 98 xj.

living in the desert south west and looking for opinions on what lift or suspension kit to buy.

I'm looking to be able to do some crawling and general off-road but keep things somewhat affordable.

any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
