I've searched the forum through threads discussing MDS, so maybe this isn't even a legit question, but here goes. If I read the owner manual for my '05 GC Limted with the Hemi correctly, it says that disconnecting the battery causes the MDS to be deactivated and requires dealer service.
If true, that's nuts. I can't fathom needing to see a dealer to change a battery or to simply disconnect it while working on the vehicles. I just installed a CAI so had the battery disconnected.
So, is it true the MDS deactivates if battery disconnected? If so, is there a way to activate without a trip to the dealer?
Thanks!
