Anyone ever paint their Valve Covers

I am thinking since my ZJ will be non mobile for probably 2 weeks while it is getting the Fix's I should paint the Valve covers

I gotta Do Red i think that would look cool.

So do i need to clean and strip them with some kind of stripper?

I am Guessing since they are metal they need to primed with primer?

I gotta use a high heat resistant Spray Paint right?

any other tips on painting Valve Covers?
