I'm replacing my OEM radiator fan & shroud on my JKU '13 with a Derale 16830 dual 11" fan shroud, and intend to control them with the Derale 16795 PWM fan controller.
Everything works fine, except that now my engine light is on since the OEM fan connector is disconnected (error "fan circuit open").
Does anyone know how to "trick" the computer to think that I still have to fan on?
Should I connect a resistor between pin 4 and ground on the FAN MODULE-RADIATOR COOLING C1 harness? if so any ideas on what resistor type/resistance?
I was thinking to use the "override switch" connection on the fan controller (typically connected to the A/C), to the Pin 4 (via a relay). Any ideas if this would work?
