2008 Liberty Changing the Oil Pan

I hope someone can give me some guidance..... I was trying to change the oil pan on my 2008 Liberty (It has a rust hole), It looks like the pan will come right out, but the tranny is in the way. So if I just pull the motor mounts and put a 2x4 under the bell housing will the engine come up enough to clear the transmission? Or is there a easier / Better way to raise the engine / transmission (I need it up about 4 to 6 inches)
