All stock '96 XJ here and somehow I lost that big plastic wing nut looking thing that keeps the spare tire secured in the rear. I know I could probably just use a nut and big washer to make it work but I'd like to keep it original for the time being. Other than a junk yard anybody know where I could order a part like that?

Part numbers frequently chosen by other RockAuto customers

RockAuto often not only has the part but provides a choice of brands. A heart next to a part in the RockAuto.com catalog means this particular part number is frequently chosen by other customers who own the same vehicle, and the part is rarely returned. Maybe the part is a little easier to install, is the OE part, is better than the OE part or offers an exceptional combination of low price and high quality. There are lots of reasons other owners might prefer a particular part. The heart is just another tool in the RockAuto catalog to help customers choose the parts that most closely meet their needs.

Carrying fishing poles inside? Mounted?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to to carry fishing poles inside our jeeps? I'm talking about 2pc fishing rods, not the long 1pc ones. I was trying to come up with a way to strap them somewhere in cargo area, but can't really come up with any ideas. They just fit across, lengthwise. I normally wrap a rubber band around them, and take off the reels, but i want to come up with some sort of a solution that will allow me to secure them somehow.

Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,

Vlad

New '15 Rubicon. Swap out 730N for a 430N?

The 730N is dumb. I want to put in a stock 430N because it has way more voice commands to control the HDD or my iPod (such as "Play Song" and "Play Artist.") I use those commands a lot. But I do not want to go aftermarket. I realize the 430N has less Nav options. Don't care about that.

Since my 730N system has Sirius, Nav, Uconnect Bluetooth, Steering wheel voice controls etc., is the swap simply a matter of taking the radio/nav box out of the dash, unplugging it on the back, then putting in the 430N and plugging it in? Or, does it get way more complicated with additional wiring, harnesses, or whatever is needed to make the 430N work with full Nav, Uconnect and Sirius capability?

If it's just a matter of removing and unplugging the 730N, and then inserting and plugging in the 430N making all Uconnect and controls work, then I will merely find a 430N on eBay or somewhere and do it myself.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!!!!
