Steering Knuckle Install

lundi 23 mars 2015

Hey all, having a really difficult time with the passenger side steering knuckle install. Drivers side went together perfect. Passenger side after everything is torqued the hole doesn't line up when torqued to 100. The nut seems like it has to go another full turn around to get the cotter pin through. I replaced with new dana Spicer ball joints.

I did notice after torqueing the lower ball stud to 85 that the ball stud on top was loose. Torqueing the split ring to 50 i noticed it goes down farther then the drivers side did. Any ideas?

Thanks for any input.

financing 2006 LJ

I am looking at a extremely low mileage 2006 LJ. Its a little more than what my budget is so I was wondering if anyone had financed a 2006 Wrangler recently or are they too old?

Trans Tcase Breahter

I have a 2001 5spd.

You can get a couple more inches from your Tcase and trans breather. If you look down from the driver side where the motor and trans meet you should see a breather. Carefully pull it out of the holder. Mine is rubber and came out easy. You should have a couple inches of extra hose you can pull up. I used zip ties to keep mine up and behind the engine.

I have a 2001 5spd. This the lowest breather on my jeep, it is now only about an inch or so lower than the breathers behind the gas cap. I didn’t tighten up the zip ties too tight so I could leave a little play.

JK Rubicon Wheels VS what I already have?

Hey how do yall think that these newer JK Rubicon wheels with the stock tire size would look on my flat black TJ with 4.5" of lift? You think they would be too small? How about just the look of the jeep in general with that newer wheel? Or should I just keep her the way she is? I can get these cheap from a friend is why I am asking. Thanks yall. Oh and yes, I know I need adapters.
