Power steering 2000 Wrangler Sahara

mardi 13 mai 2014

The input shaft seal on my steering gear started leaking so in the act of replacing that I broke the lower hose mount of the resiviour. I looked through the manual and a few different write ups I found on here but I can't even figure out how to get the belt off? I looks a little different than everything I've seen.

It appears to have an automatic tensioner directly under the alternator but not like the one in the manual I see two small pins sticking out of the thing and it looks like a star head holding it on. Am I totally lost? Is their a half in. square bolt on here some where?

Other problem I believe this broken piece on the steering shaft is the orignial cause of the leaking steering gear. It looks like it's been cracked for a long time. Does it need to be replaced? What is it called?

Thanks for any help, weather's getting nice and all i'm hearing about is gas money for my girlfriends mini van
