So here we go. I lost 3rd and 4th gear at highway speeds not long ago, no fanfare, no giant bang, no grinding, just gone. I've been meaning to do some upgrades anyway and it's not my daily driver, so I am taking the opportunity to attempt my first AX-15 rebuild. I also opted to put a SYE kit into the transfer case since I was pulling it all down anyway, and will be putting a CV driveshaft in the rear when I'm done with all this. I already have adjustable control arms all around from a previous lift, so changing the driveline geometry to accomodate the new driveshaft will be a breeze.
