WJ front drive shaft. Quick Q.

Does the front drive shaft turn when going down the road in 2wd?



I am starting to hear some noise when I engage 4wd.



Also, is there a chain tensioner in the transfer case? Selectrac. I'm wondering if that broke and I am hearing the chain rub on the case.
