I have around $3,500.00 to spend on a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. I have been leaning towards a Cherokee, but they are harder to find. I have been pricing them on Auto Trader, and comparing asking prices to Kelly Blue Book.
I have seen quite a few I like, at a price I think is fair.
What are some of the advantages or disadvantages of one over the other?
I heard the Cherokee is more reliable, especially at the high mileages my price limit places on me. I have seen them from the low 100's of thousands to well over 200,000. Some of the ones over 200,000 have extensive lists of replaced parts, even, in some cases, rebuilt engines.
What should I look out for?
I have to do the deal by next Saturday. This will be my first SUV, and for some reason, a non-Jeep just doesn't feel right to me.
