I picked this up last summer and have been working on it since. let me give you the rundown, with the vin breakdown.
J = Jeep
9 = 1979
M= 4 speed (t18a)
93 = 93" wheelbase
E = heavy duty (4150 lbs.)
H = 304/2 barrel
059350 = Toledo
9L = Saxon yellow
1CE = Cara vinyl (black)
That being said I decided to look for a carb. kit. When I look at my carb (Motorcraft) the little clock face stamp is on top of the carb and from what I can make of it, its a 13 in the circle with 3 little round dots, so I am assuming a 1.33 424 cfm? Here is what stumped me it has a tag that reads D7UE AGB A7F1. When searching on the net it says that carb is Motorcraft 4350 F4, 4 barrel carburetor for Ford with 460 CID engine. The carb looks to be mounted on a 1" spacer on the intake manifold. The only numbers I could find on the manifold are G.P.2.-P. AMC. Do I have the wrong carb? It runs fine on the street but when I take it to the desert or mountains It gets possessed and wants to haul a**.
