So I'm driving along on my way to work when a kid fails to yield to traffic and pulls out in front of me. I'm going 45mph and barely had time to stop before I slammed into him. He's 18, no valid drivers license and expired proof of insurance. My insurance Geico says I am not at fault (duh) and I must go through his insurance Mercury who is of course trying to get out of paying anything. I did suffer some bruising aches and pains, and the impact wasn't so bad (my jeep is a beast, hello) but airbag did deploy. Now everyone is telling me my jeep is totaled. I've had this jeep since I was 15, I paid for it myself and kept up on maintenance. Every mechanic I took it to said the same thing, I've got atleast 10 years before I see problems of an old car. That being said I am far too stubborn to say goodbye to my jeep, I don't want any other car but a Jeep and if I can get mine going I'll be happy. The tow guy tried starting it after the accident but it wouldn't turn over for him. I'm gonna try it today and see if a rest and the magic touch will help. As for the body... well... I don't mind if it's got a little Frankenstein thing going, so long as it runs. HELP
