Hi, looking at a 93 YJ 4.0 with Auto for the son. I have a JK but would like a pointer or two on what to look for in a 1993 Wrangler. Owner says drives great, daily driver, women owned, 175,000 miles, serviced regularly. No apparent rust, I still need a test drive. One mirror is gone (the glass part) one door lock does not work. Told the AC works but sometimes does not.
Should I do leak own of the cooling system? She is unsure of MPG. It sounds like it idles OK.
Is the Auto Tranny of this year reliable-ish? I figure this one is as it's lasted almost 200,000 miles.
I'm seeing Edmunds trade in value at $1,500 with buyer value at $3,100, yet folks in craigslist are asking $4k for one without a motor and $10K but it's been pretty much frame off restoed.
