I just spent 7 weeks having warranty and other work done to my Jeep @ Atlantic Auto Group in NJ. One thing under warranty supposedly completed was repair a leaking rear main seal. Picked up (again) today and shows much sign of oil leakage. Much worse than before. I was told that it is residual oil and should burn off etc. This is the second time I've picked it up and have put over 260 miles on it since the repair was completed. Much dripping and this after serv. man. told me the mechanic cleaned all remaining residual up. Also, transmission was replaced on warranty after they changed trans. cooling lines and when I went to pick the jeep up it would not move in reverse or forward. This has been a nightmare and I feel they don't want to address the seal because it would entail dropping the rebuilt/replaced transmission once more. Manager tells me to bring back after 1000 miles and they will put a blacklight on it to see if there are any leaks (check for dye). I'm going back in the morning. They are jerking my chain I think. Is it possible that so much "residual" oil could still be dripping from the engine? Thx. burg
