Good tax refund on the way, so the lift is coming sooner than planned
I have read everything about the two lifts! (This is not a which lift to get thread, mostly) and decided that bds was for me, I was going to get the normal cj springs not the wider conversion springs.
I was at my local 4x4 shop today, they sell rubicon express. I like these guys and trust these guys, they've helped me a lot....anyways they say the RE is worth the $600 premium over the bds (the re has conversion springs I believe since they are 2.5)
Anyways, the old girl sees 80% DD use, 15% fire roads / old jeep trails and 5% more difficult off roading (hence the SUA, not soa). Is there an obvious reason why the RE is more scratch? Are the YJ size springs a worth-it upgrade for my use? I kind of want the RE to be better cause I really like giving my $ to the shop but $600 is not a little bit
Fwiw I have the go-fer-it tie rod bushings waiting (and some 1/2" lift shackles recommended by bds), and ideally I'll be able to live without driveshafts for a bit until I can raise some more $. 33's currently and wasn't planning on going bigger, although I'd be happy with 35's if they won't shred my gear and slow me down that much more.
Thanks guys
